課程概述

Course Description:
This course examines American literature from its beginnings to 1820, paying special attention to questions of origins, identity, and exclusion.

Course Objectives:
• Understand Early American history and literature
• Master literary analysis
• Practice oral-communication skills in English
• Approach contemporary United States and global cultures from an informed, historical perspective

• Class attendance and participation
• Weekly reading assignments, always to be completed before class meetings.
